Rolland Uphoff, Partner, is responsible for all “ground–up” pre-development and development activities related to the engineering and construction of retail projects.

In this capacity, Uphoff selects, engages and manages all third party consultant contracts critical to successful project completion, in addition to “hands-on” management of the actual construction work.

Uphoff conducts and evaluates due diligence investigations including the administration of contracts/agreements with FEMA, The U.S. Corps of Engineers, Texas Department of Transportation and local municipalities. In addition, Uphoff prepares preliminary construction cost estimates, and directs construction work bidding exercises required to obtain necessary permits.

Uphoff’s record of experience reflects 30 major construction projects with a total construction value in excess of $500,000,000. The retail centers are located in Ohio, Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, Virginia and Texas.

Uphoff, Director of Construction for The Kroger Co. for 20 years, has recently provided the same services for The Midland Group, St. Louis, Missouri (acquired by Regency Realty) and the Woodmont Companies, Ft. Worth, Texas prior to his association with Margaux Development Company, Dallas, Texas.

A member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, Uphoff is registered as a professional engineer in the states of Texas, Illinois and Ohio. Uphoff holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois.
